Absolutely delicious ramen, and such a great atmosphere! It's a historical landmark, like the oldest ramen place in the US, and it has one of those cat robot things that delivers your drink! You might have to wait for seating sometimes but it's worth it 100%! I get the vegan ramen with the miso broth it's literally SCRUMPTIOUS! The staff are all awesome and kind too :)

I had a great experience at Kouraku Japanese Restaurant. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and both the exterior and interior decorations feel very authentic, making the dining experience even more enjoyable and casual. The service was fast, and the staff was attentive and genuinely caring. My favorite dish is the Katsudon, it’s simply delicious and always cooked perfectly.

We don't come here often only because it's usually full, but tonight was our lucky night. It was hard to go past their most popular dish - the Tenshin Chahan Ankake. This is shrimp omelette on a bed of pork fried rice and gravy. The egg was fluffy, the fried rice was full of tasty ingredients and the gravy rich and decadent. The serve was so generous there was a second meal for the next day. My friends enjoyed their Katsu Don, Ramen and Curry. Service was fast and friendly. As the place wasn't busy the robot wasn't in action. Worth a few return visits to try out the other offerings.

Mixed Feelings About the Food! The Karaage here was really good – I enjoyed the taste very much! However, I was quite disappointed with the Gyoza. It felt as though they were serving pre-prepared items, as they weren't very hot, and the texture was unfortunately soggy. Moreover, they completely lacked the flavorful juiciness that makes gyoza so enjoyable. It was a stark contrast to the tasty karaage.

Went here on a Tuesday night so it was kind of empty. The place is small, cozy, and well-decorated with japanese food & culture. Really gives off that old authentic japanese restaurant vibe. Service was good. Food tasted ok, nothing special. I would suggest getting extra sides of meat for your meal because they just give you a little.
